Editing Video Podcasts in Premiere Pro: A Practical Setup
Multicam sequences, audio clean-up, and a cut-down routine for turning long episodes into clips.
Video podcasts combine long recordings, multiple cameras, and a lot of repetitive clean-up. A good setup saves hours per episode.
Build a multicam sequence
Sync cameras by audio, create a multicam source sequence, then cut between angles in real time while playing back.
Clean up audio early
- Use Enhance Speech sparingly; blend it rather than using 100%
- Normalise loudness to your platform target
- Remove crosstalk and false starts before cutting angles
Pull clips from the episode
Find the three strongest 45-second moments and create vertical sequences for each.
